Bellaire HS is proud of our student body and the diversity that they bring through our doors each day. We believe that we are a large comprehensive high school that offers a strong academic program, clear channels of communication, and multiple opportunities for students to express their individual interests. Our 3500 students come from across the city and represent over 50 different nations.
While nearly 80% of our students reside within our attendance zone, we are proud of the contributions brought through our Foreign Language Magnet program. This course of study surrounds the 11 different languages that we teach and we receive over 1000 applications each year for admission. Equally a source of pride is the fact that all of our languages, and all of our courses for that matter, are available to every student on campus. We compete in nearly every sport, offer nearly every fine art & visual art medium, and currently support over 100 clubs and organizations. If you are looking for it we likely have it. And if we don’t then we count on you to help us build it.
