**For the Distinguished Scholar Program, a student must also receive and combination of four of the advanced measures approved by the State Board of Education which focuses on demonstrated student performances at the college or professional level and which must be assessed through an external review process.

Students must show typing proficiency prior to enrolling in a computer class.  A proficiency test is offered several times each year in lieu of ½ credit keyboarding course.  Passing the proficiency does not earn credit; it allows the student to meet the prerequisite for computer only.  Keyboarding in middle school also meets this prerequisite requirement with a letter from the middle school stating proficiency.

***Physical Education, Health, Communications Applications, and Keyboarding MUST be completed by the end of Spring semester of the 11th grade***

See your counselor for details.
